Just came home with my first FEMALE

I have been looking for a good Chocolate Oranda. I decide to check out all the tanks. To my surprise, they had a tank of 5-6 Females. I spotted a MG, hiding at the bottom of a plant. It only took about 3 seconds for me to decide to get her.

This is my first try at posting a pic. If it works, I'll adda full body shot.





ADDED: I thought this was, and Purchased this fish as a Female. After 3 attempts to place in all female tank, I now believe it is a male. Gets very large gil flap when flaring.
PLEASE LET ME KNOW YOUR THOUGHTS.

My 2 boys (bettas) Love her. I put her bowl in front of them. They stared motionless at her. As she swam back and forth, saying look am me, I'm so pretty.

My tiny little red female flares at the male when I show him to her. But she gets all bright red and swims around trying to act tough. The male is like 3-4 times her size. She is about an inch if that.

Looks like a female to me, just judging by body shape. Some females do indeed have nasty dispositions and large gill flaps.

Wow....she's beau ti fullll well there is a chance that shes a male becuase the anal fin seems a bit longer than a normal female would have but then again, im just a kid so I dont know much

Sorry, I just realized. You are not having a blond moment, it is me. I posted all this before I went to bed last night. It is not a replacement fish, I got her at PETCO. I was talking about this fish in my weher is the tail type pinned topic post. Not the replacement fish post. Sorry. I thought it may be male, since the gil flap was so huge, and that bottom fin was so pointed. Also like I said, I have tried 3 times to put her into the female tank. That alone wouldn't have been strange but I figured maybe all together it added up that he was actually a he. She doesn't look quite as nice since she split her tail, (on second attept at female tank)and it healed a little off. THis is the only female I have not been able to put in that tank. Tere are 10+ in there now. (20L) I don't knew who did it, but I woke up to a large bubble nest in the female tank this morning. I have to go to work, but I'll try to take pics when I get home. (Prob about 3 inches across)
