I've just done a water change and filter clean and whilst placing the impeller back into the Fluval 305 housing i managed to snap the ceramic pole that runs through the magnet!!!
I've tried putting it back in as the pole is snapped half way down but its not working!!!
Its the standard pole through impeller arrangement, the ceramic pole is now in to bits, it's 8pm and i have no chance of buying one till tomorrow!!!
Luckily i have two filters, the 305 and a Jewul Internal that came with the RIO 240.
I have removed the media and sponges and stuck them into the tank so as they are still in water, will this be ok?
I've googled it and found the spare, but there is no way on gods green earth that my LFS will have spares!!!!!
Anyone live near Southampton with any 305 spares!!!!!!
I just hope my LFS will allow me to steal one from a new filter and replace it in a couple of days!!! Thinking a bag of my mollies i'm breeding might oil the works a bit!!!
Now i've got to go to work for a night shift, not only that i've got to shutdown the Uk's Air traffic Computer System, but all i'm worried about is my fish!!!!!
