Just Bought One Of These

Got it in the post today and it is ACE!! the white is slightly blue and my neons are glowing, ATM I have the red on and my Kuhli's are out and about and the other fish are chilling and the neons are swimming as a shoal...

Well worth it!!

Yeh I use blue leds after light's out but I believe that fish do not see red light so think its actually dark.

How did you get on with the brick's?

I don't think i will be doing the brick idea, seen some nice roots in the LFS getting some moss, fern to go with some plants i bought the other day.

Looks Good! Where did you get it from? Have you got a link? :good:

Westwood

It was from Ebay, same as mine are sold out but there are others on there just put multicolour LED and some should come up

I bought an led light strip also.
I went for the 5m with 300 5050 smd's (brighter) with colour changing feature & remote :)
Had an idea of chopping it into shorter lengths so I can fit into several tanks and probably get a couple more remotes :good:
What IP (water resistance) does your led strip have and are you putting it IN the water?
I got the one in the square box tubing thing with IP67 rating (not the IP68 'cause they fill the boxing with resin) since I need to cut it up and solder more wiring on I didn't think resin coated stuff would be any good.
But not sure if I silicon the ends and wiring after chopping will I be able to place IN the water?
I know IP68 is water safe up to 3 metre depth and IP67 is reportedly water safe up to 1 metre depth but that's before it's hacked in to shorter strips :hey:

Mine hasn't arrived yet. :-(
Have you got a piccy so I can see what they look like...pweeease :D

I have mine lying ontop of the condensation tray so they dont get wet.

Not sure on the adding wires to the spare bits

Adding wires should be the easy bit. Getting it to work may be slightly more difficult
I'm going to put some strips in the water (if it ever arrives) so I'll let you know if my fish get electrocuted! :fun:
