This is going on from my previous thread here, where I was enquiring about the number of fish in my proposed Juwel Lido 120 tank.

This weekend just gone, Mrs Neon and I went down to our LFS to look at the various tanks available, and also to check out the store. (Mightily impressive, BTW!) Whilst checking out the equipment, we happened upon a tank that would better suit our home than our original choice, so I promptly ordered it, and delivery will take place on Saturday. The tank is an Aquatlantide Evasion with a capacity of 150 litres, and the filtration system is an Eheim 2213 external filter. I'm going for sand as a substrate, because I want to grow plants properly. (They never stood a chance before, when I had gravel with a UG filter) My choice of fish has also changed, this time I'll be plumping for Zebra Loaches, Tiger Barbs, Neons and Rams, although this may also be subject to change once I'm cycled and ready!

I've been unable to find out anything about Aquatlantide, so I'd like to know if anyone else here knows of them, or has had any experience of them? And also, how does the set-up sound, in terms of filtration? Any advice would be great!

Don't know about Aquatlantide but it all sounds ok, I wouldn't get Neons and Tiger Barbs though.

Depending where you are in Kent, Tunbridge Wells, Pets in Town do decent Sand Substrate and Prices, also East Peckham have some really decent fish at the moment, they have a great little puffer there for £50.. very tempting to buy.

Aquatlantide have been around for a little while now ive never personally owned one but as they saying goes "i know a man who has" lol he sas its fantastic its well constructed and thought out and you can get them in some wierd colours to suit your tastes!

They are a little on the heavy side of the pricing market but well worth the costs apparently.

As for the Eheim in my opionion you cant go wrong with a Eheim filter i use them on all of my own tanks again they are a little on the heavy side of the pricing range but well worth the dosh!!

What colour you getting your tank in? My friends is like a purple/blue looks fantastic!

The tank and stand are in silver, and the door has a brushed aluminium trim. It matches some of the furniture in my lounge, so looks really nice. (Or should do! )

@ Boxa, the LFS I went to is Kingfisheries in Beckenham, and I heartily recommend it. I must admit to having doubts about Barbs and Neons getting on- any suggestions on alternatives?

Kingfishers, not been there in ages I bought a Blue Crayfish from there years ago was never really keen on the shop though as the bloke running it at the time was a bit of a D**k Head  If you get the time though there is a really good one over in Elephant and Castle and he has some quality fish there, thats where Bert came from.
