hi everyone i have a 90 litres which is cycled, i did have a mother guppy in there but removed her to my main tank once finished giving birth, i know i defiantly have 6 fry that have survived :) any help on looking after these 6 fry as they are my first would be very helpful. thank you in advance. also there is one in there that looks like egg with eyes but has not moved any suggestions on what to do with this fry too please

I dont know much about raising fry, but I will just say are you sure you want to keep them? Guppies, as with all livebearing fish, breed like crazy. You'll be overrun in no time. I'd be inclined to just leave them in the main tank and see what happens. A few may survive if you have enough hiding places, but I'd just let nature do its work.

provide plenty of cover, some java moss etc and feed them on crushed up flake or liquifry no2, I feed my fry 3 times a day, but very small amounts :good:

hi yes i want to keep the 6 as i have two tanks that look empty with what i've got, once i have a few fish in each i will let nature take it's course,
thank you i will feed them crushed flakes 3 times a day

Daily 25% water changes :good:

can i ask why 25% changes daily ? my tank is cycled
do i use gravel vac to change water ?

Because fry like nice clean water.

My gravel vac has a filter in it so I don't lose fish up the tube. Once, I couldn't be bothered to put the vac on the tube, and ended up with a zebra danio swimming in the bucket......

ok no worries will do it now, i was concerned on killing them and stressing them out by doing the water in the next few days i do water changes on my tanks more than i should anyway so it not going to be a problem doing more for the fry
i hope your zebra danio was fine after the visit to the bucket

Remarkably, yeah, he suffered no ill effects.

just wanted to add, I've rearing 14 platy fry and tetra do baby food that's already crushed for you. My babies loved it but they're now on to adult food finely crushed as they're getting bigger.

Good luck, hope they all survive :)

i will crush my normal fish food down really finely i would rather keep all my fish on the same food, i hope they all survive too, in a bit of a panic over looking after them, did a 25% water change and found i had 10 in the tank instead of the 6 i thought i had lol
