I was wondering once I cloned my 55g could I add 4 angels instead of adding my pleco first?

How many do you have in there and have you experienced any violence in the first few weeks of them being in there?

I had four go in and they all settled in really well. Turned out I had two males and two females. You get the little bit of chasing and the odd nip but thats the biggest female staking out a piece of the tank for herself with the biggest male. They have been in the tank since july.
After a week of just them I added a few dither fish such as red and black phantoms to help take their minds off each other and although I lost the smallest female to some sort of disease a couple of weeks ago the other 3 have done ok with each other and the lone male courts both females and the females fight now and again, but its not as aggressive as if I had two males to 1 female. Im not going to risk upsetting the balance by adding another couple of fish as thats where the problems can come in.
Of course all cichlids have their own little quirks and some are bossier than others but it cant be guaranteed that your four will always get along.
Good luck with them but I would add all 4 at the same time, how big are they as mine were different sizes. Two were around 3 inches round and the other two around 2 inches and they have gotten huge over the last few months and all three are around 5 inches and thats the disc size not the fins included.
Do you have a spare tank just in case one gets picked on pretty badly?

I was just going to try to get the smallest they have at about the size. So how do you sex them so maybe I can get 2 males 2 females? The only other tank I could put a bully in is my long 20g would that be ok? What fish would you reccommend to take there minds off each other?

The problem with angelfish is that sexing is really difficult until they get big or start pairing off. So getting the small ones though the best idea is problematic in itself as a few months down the line they may start picking at each other.
You could try and get a known adult pair and just keep those in the tank or get half a dozen little ones and let them either pair off or just keep the females.
I have red/black phantom tetras, pencilfish, and white cloud minnows as tank mates for mine.

Are you sure 6 isn't to many since I thought they each need 10g of water?

Yes, 6 is too many - you put the 6 in and, once you have a pair or two, remove the rest and give them back to your LFS. That's the only way of getting a pair with angels short of buying an established couple or watching adult fish at your LFS for a while and buying those that are obviously paired (which isn't always reliable as, if there is no fish of the opposite sex present, angelfish will 'pair' with an individual of the same sex).
