Just A Quick One About Light Period

Hi i was just wondering something, my lights are on a timer would a period from 12pm till 10pm be okay for the plants or do people usually start there lights off earlier. The reason i ask is that in the day  being at work its nice to come home and the lights still be on ratyher than starting them at 8 n off at 6 meaning little or no viewing time. Any opinions would be greatly appreciated

Similar here, my main tank just went down. Comes on late so I get all the viewing in the evenings when I'm actually here.
