i have a fluva 3 filter on my planted tank with a valve thing that adds air bubbles when it blows the water out, if i take that bit off and dnt add air will my plants grow quicker as there would be more co2? and would that affect my fish

If you decide to take the venturi off the fish will do fine and the plants will prefer it. If you push your filter down so the waters surface is quite still that will also help the plants.
I wouldn't do that if your tank is heavily stocked with fish though
