it was just a matter of time before my convicts had babies. I feel bad for my tiger barbs that are in the tank, i might get them another tank so the convicts can grow in piece.

I put a 40 gallon tank together, and put in 4 convicts. I figured they would be able to live together, in relative peace....they were too, until the eggs were laid. Then...World Wars 3, 4, and 5 broke out in that tank. By the time it over....I was missing two fish and the proud grandfather of a huge brood of fish. That was a month ago, and Momma and Poppa are starting to think about expanding the brood again. It's gonna get violent in there with babies still running around.

Convicts will kill anything else in that tank, I'm convinced. I went to bed on night, and woke up two fish short....that's how fast they work too.

I'd be careful, if you like your barbs.

I love my barbs and I am transferring them to another 30g tank.......

just have to wait for it to cycle
