Im just wondering, will there be a significant increase on hydro bill running a 10 gallon tank, and a 55 gallon tank at the same time?
It's just I don't pay hydro, my landlord does, that's the only thing stopping me from getting a 55g

Sorry it might be a silly question, just don't know much about those stuff, and thnx a lot in advance :)

The real change in going to a larger size would be for the heater. The pump doesn't use much power and the lights really depend on the wattage and how long they are on. They could be just as expensive for a 10 gallon as for a typical 55 if you are a plant person and trying to get plenty of light for plants. Filter power is actually very small, even for a good sized canister filter so that will not enter into the equation. If you choose to keep fish that don't need a heater when kept indoors, I doubt there will be a noticeable difference in the power bills at all. I have several tanks with no heater in them that house my goodeids.
