His name is "rj"
I take very good care of him and he keeps me company while i am making cold calls. I am salesman at a IT solution provider.
here is the link to the video.
You Tube betta video
enjoy :good:

:hyper: he can see his reflection in the guys eyes. Hope you usually keep a lid on...little devil. I personally wouldnt put the guy in the tank you dont know what he has got on him. No offence good vid...

He is a great betta to have. I just love his personality.
I always keep the lid on the tank when I am not there. My coworker already had her betta jump out on her over a weekend a few years back.

you are correct on putting the cable guy in the tank. He could have some bacteria on him. Not that it makes a difference, but i do run him under hot water now and again. He never flares except for when the cagle guy is around.
I try not to tease him to much, just a little hear and there to keep him on edge.
There is nothing in the tank that he could hurt himself on, everything is soft and rounded. The tank is only a half gallon, and I really would like a bigger tnak for him, but the boss wont let me. I trying to talk the wife into getting me a bigger tank at home, so I can bring him home.
I love his color, but i take good care of him.
thx for the compliments.

lol- he really doesn't like that thing! What is it? Great vid by the way, and a beautiful betta!

The cable guy is an action figure that our company had created. They passed them out to all of us for a gift one day. It is molded rubber, very soft and bendable. I dont always put the action figure in there, most of the time, it is just on the outside of the tank going back and forth from side to side. I have never seen a betta jump like that before to attack an object. I dont want to be cruel or inhuman to him either.
I have a live plant in the tank and a large paperclip holder for him to hide in. He seems happy.

He is indeed pretty. He hates that toy! ...I don't see a heater in the tank though?

yea, I am really bothered by that part. I really want to put one in there, but i am nervous about upper mngrs telling me to remove it.

Why would they tell you to remove something that is there to help keep the fish healthy? A betta at the correct temp is likely to be far healthier than one at room temp. They are tropical fish and unless you work in a VERY warm office then it is extremely doubtful your fishes tank is the right temp. All you need is a plug socket, how could they possibly complain about that? Just tell them that seeing as you have been allowed a fish on your desk it is perfectly logical to keep that fish in good health. Adding a heater to his tank as he is a tropical species, will help this. Same goes for a filter.

I'm not being funny or anything it's just that I simply can't fathom a logical reason why they would tell you to remove it.

I can only agree with you, and that is my logic as well.
I figure it is an issue of added electric cost, risk of fire, and whatever else they can come up with.
Maybe I will sneak them in one at a time and just let it go, until they say something.

They don't use that much electricity! haha. And virtually all varieties are fully submersible and have to be checked for safety so there is no more fire risk than anything else with a plug.

Just tell them it's a big novelty thermometer?

good choice of music :good:

 poor cable guy :p

that is pretty funny. but as said, throw a small heater and filter in there. if you cannot do that, just make sure he has clean water. bettas really require the same conditions as any other tropical fish and it is their own demise that they can breathe surface air. sub-par conditions have become the standard for bettas.

Not saying you are a poor owner tho. bettas can be kept in unfiltered tanks just fine if the water is changed on a regular basis. I would really look into getting a heater though.

He certainly looks happy and healthy. Feisty bugger too.
