Hi all, all advice and comments welcomed.

OK original post when I set up this tank is way back somewhere, so brief info on my tank…

Juwel vision 180l
filter: Eheim 2026
lights: 2x 25w arcadia lights, 2x 55w T5 daylights (about 3wpg)
CO2: JBL Pro2 (1.5 bps)
substrate: flourite
EI ing as in sticky

Here is my tank after water had cleared.

I bought lots more fast growing plants. Not a great deal of thought went into where the plants went as I just wanted them to grow, grow, grow and I cracked on with getting EI dosing sorted.

This was tank a week or so later.

About 4 weeks on now, I have a bit of a jungle. I like the 2 pieces of bogwood both with holes in for fish to swim through and they stand up, but they are different colours and I haven’t found a positioning I like yet. Maybe I should just use one of them. Still on the look out for a perfect big piece. Anyway here's the tank now that needs some trimming. First new residents in there - 6 platties.

Thanks to you guys who’ve helped me already. Again advice & comments appreciated. :good:

FYI, that green and white striped plant is not an aquatic plant. It will die and rot, causing your bioload to shoot through the roof. I highly recommend removing it immediately if you haven't already (don't see it in the lower pictures).

Yeah thanks, someone else noticed when i first posted a few weeks ago. its a gonna. :)

Thanks for comments guys.

Well a bad back meant I had to leave tank to its own devices for a couple of weeks and everything grew like wildfire, so here is the very jungly jungle then.

Have had a really good trim but probably was not ruthless enough, and moved a couple of things around.
Thiss is tanks now.

I would love some advice on the arrangement and care of plants.
In a while i would like less of a jungle and a more tidy natural look, but Im unsure about taking out the fast growers and disturbing the balance - haven't got rid of aglae but its hardly noticeable now.

thanks demon,
yeah I think it needs opening up a bit, it feels like theres little swimming space in the middle too - maybe a more rigorous trim. There are some rocks in there that I love as well and you cant see som of them at all anymore.

Im trying to decide on what carpeting plants to have a try with.
Suggestions welcomed. :)

Love it, love it :) I really like jungle tanks, just look so adventurous :) makes you want to get in there too and have swim around!
