im just in the process of cycling my malawi cichlid tank but was wondering should my internal filter be enough to cope witht the fish?

i've left my internal filter in plus my eheim external.more filtration the better for a malawi tank.its really up to you.2 externals/one internal one external etc etc.the more filtration the better.

how big is your tankwhat malawis are you looking at getting

if you plan to over stock your tank then buy another filter, but if your not then the internal should be fine, malawis are hardy fish and should cope fine with just the internal.
