I am thinking about getting one of the tanks above. I currently have 2 x 20 uk gallon tanks and will be getting rid of one of these. I will be adding an external filter to which ever tank to give it better filtration as i am thinking of going to discus. I will not be overstocking it with discus and have been doing my research to find out as much as possible about them.

My wife is really keen on a corner tank for the new house and i think they look great too. She would prefer the dark brown colour if i get a tank but it isnt really important!!

Does anybody have one of the Juwel corner tanks?? How would you rate them?? I am looking for the positive and the negatives here!!!

What about other corner tanks has anybody got any good tanks for me to look at (corner tanks)?

Anybody heard anything bad about corner tanks?

Thanks guys for any info here!!

C :good:

Personally, Juwel aquariums are my favourite. What you might want to consider is that a lot of people remove the filter and fit an external one. It is also difficult to upgrade the lighting if you wanted to. Nevertheless, if you like them get one, and they are generally cheaper on line.

yeah i have the 350 and i really like it.

it's a real feature in the living room. I've removed the internal filter and added externals (yes more than 1, we have an oscar and plec in there) the lighting's not much cop for plants however you can upgrade the tubes to t6's and add reflectors which would help to some extent.

There's a link to pics of mine in my sig if you like

Thanks Dave, think i wont mess about with the lights too much i amen't very technically minded!! Would love to have a good planted tank though

great pics Mrs Wiggle!! that is a cracking oscar!!

I think i might end up with an external filter aswell, may remove the internal but am not sure yet!!

I have been told that the 350 is hard to get in and clean is that true?? I was told it by a smaller gentleman, i'm 6'2 so should be ok i think!!

Anybody know where the cheapest sites for either of the tanks are??

I have looked at ebay and the prices vary. Only problem is they are all away down south and im in scotland!! Would be a mega drive to get it and my wife thinks im nuts about fish enough!!

Anybody else have anything to say about corner tanks???????

I'm 5'6 and struggle slightly with maintenance basically because i can't reach the bottom of the tank unless I climb up on my steps and reach right into it.

however Ian who's 6'4 has no problems whatsoever so I reckon you'd be fine
