Jewel Cichlids

hi, i rescued 2 jewel cichlids from a 60lre biorb, just wondering how do you sex these fish if you can? and if both male would they be compatible?

Only reliable way I have heard of is by looking at their vents. Still not been able to sex mine.

If you do have a pair then good luck as they can be super aggressive parents.

I hope you plan on keeping them in a tank alone. Most jewels will kill anything else in the tank, unprovoked. I had one and I couldn't keep her with anything.
