Jewel Built In Filter/heater System

Hi guys, i have a Jewel 70 tank with supplied Heater also.

I've noticed today the black plastic of the filter housing 'bending in' which i can only describe as melting (underwater)

Any solutions? The heater isn't touching the plastic by the way!

it used to be that juwel heaters were known for "sticking" on. now they have changed their manufacturer, but these things still happen.
