if it helps mine had eggs recently, they are very small only 1mm to 2mm pinkish/creamish in colour and they were over 6" in size when i got them, from the show tank in the petshopthey only laid the eggs yesterday/today sometime, i just got back of holiday sat evening, i looked in the tank a few hours ago and spotted them guarding one end of the tank, i looked where they were and spotted eggs all over the stones in that area, i have no idea if they are sterile eggs, i guess time will tell, these are the first egg laying fish that have laid eggs in my tank (as far aa i am aware)

If your pair are jellybeans, the eggs are probably fertile :)
