Java Moss

Hi there quick question.
If I tie java moss to an acrylic / plastic moulded cave , will it eventually attach itself to it?
Hope this question os not too stupid....

people do it with coconuts, so if the plastic is rough, or you use the moulded cave, then it should tie dwn. And coconuts with java moss attached without string etc.. go for about £11.00!!!
