Do you plant java moss or can you just drop it in? (dont laf at my daft question :X  )
And does it grow relitavly quickly? Thanks Joemuz

Slow grower and should be tied to something like a rock, slate or bogwood. It will eventually 'stick' to the item you tie it to. If you chuck it in it will float.

just drop it in but it can also attach itself to driftwood and rocks using cotton thread and leaving it for a month or so...Make sure, whether your dropping it in or tying it to decorations, the lower leaves get enough light...Despite this, they could be grown in low light conditions (even at 0.6w/g), but in high light and added liquid ferts, they will flourish and grow quickly and regularly trimming may be required...

Thanks a lot! Can you have it as a floating plant?

I have tried floating java moss a couple of times. I threw a huge clump into my snil breeder and ikinda sank to the bottom. It didn't lie flat but it didn't float at the top. I tried a small clump yesterday and it sank as well.

Oh well? :-( I guess i'll just have to have it sinking then wont i?
It will be fine sinking anyway. I'll put it on some bogwood or something.

hey...you can tie it to a piece of cork bark or anything else floating that is rugged enough for it to attach to...It worked for me until i decided to tie it to deco.

sometimes mine will catch onto something and kinda grab on and grow on it slightly. i've had it grow on a bigger plant once. sometimes they may naturally grab onto something. most people just let it slowly fall to the bottom and land wherever. but some tie it. i don't, i just let it go where it wants.
