I have a green jelly like substance all over one patch of java moss. The moss is attached to driftwood. That side may have been previously in the gravel, but I have reoriented it inthe tank. The other possibility...It looks kind of like the pelia'like plant I had...I tied 'pelia' to driftwood, and it must have fallen of that piece, a I never saw it again. It hasn't shown up anywhere in the tank. Could it have fused to the java moss like that. I mean, it looks like green jelly is encasing the moss...what gives? That moss is ready to grow out big time, but it seems to be limited by this substance...

It sounds more like BGA (blue green algae). Do you have pic?

No pic...there is BGA algae on the adjacent anubias. I just didn't think it could make java moss look like this. what shoudl I do to get rid of it? No pic...sorry.

You can try a 3 day complete blackout and then a big water change.
