I've recently purchased java moss, and I did what you're suppose to do, place it inside your aquarium,
Well, over the 2 weeks, the java moss turned brown, and then died... I'm pretty upset since I paid $20 for a small chunk of java moss over the internet..
$20 may not sound much, but i'm still a high school student, so that was basically my life savings :( I've read that java moss does not require maintenance, even though all the tests i took for the aquarium were accurate..
Why did this happen?

Is there anywhere cheap and local that I can purchase java moss? I live in the Los Angeles area.

Please help!

Thank you very much

As Sam says Aquatic Magic sell many types of moss. I would go for Christmas moss because I have found that it grows quite quickly and much thicker than most other types. Take a look here

I have also boght loads of equipment including glass flo pipes, diffusor, bubble counter, NRV etc, so the whole planted range is there.

Do any of ya know how much they would go for locally? I have about 3 bucks to spend.. but i'll try to save more money.. :)

$20 sounds quite a lot for java moss to me!!

post an ad in the buy/sell/swap section asking if anyone can spare you some, i'd send you some if you were in the same country as me
