I bought this piece of bogwood with java moss covering it.
I noticed that the java moss comes of quite easily (though I can never see any roots).

What I want to know is, can I take some of the java moss of the bog wood and attach it to other ornaments? Does the java moss I remove from the wood need roots? And how do I securely fasten it to other ornaments (seeing I have very energetic and destructive weather loaches)?

Thanks

It holds it's self on without roots :)

I'd let it settle in wor a while... It'll grow quite quickly...

What lighting do you have on the tank (eg what watts per gallon)
JM grows differently depending on the light levels - high levels and it'll grow flat and tight... in lower levels it'll grow bushy and spread out more.

It looks better in high light conditions but will grow well in pretty much anything ;)

It would be a very low light tank, seeing there is no additional lighting.

And i can not just leave the java moss to settle as the weather loaches are so energetic..
