There is a market for everything but when you consider that you can go out to Pets at Home and get a decent sized pot of Java Fern for £3 then its gonna take a few tank full of it to make any money.

Also considering it's speed of growth and also the need to keep it perfectly healthy with no blemishes or algae to be able to sell it then its a no brainer really.

If you are just after a bit of pocket money to spend on your tank every couple of months then yes there is a market for it

I agree, if you are wanting to sell plants, then a better option would be to grow some more demanding/ more expensive species, like mosses. Not many are going around and a decent sized lum,p can fetch £5

ive got loads of buds of java fern(which are about 10cm tall) i was just wondering if i could sell them in groups of 5?

java fern are not that dear to buy, unless you stick tropica brand name in front which then allows you to up the price by 100% lol. From a supplier like plants alive or greenline it will cost a couple of pound for 5 plants. although they are not usually well established. Loads of people are wanting java moss, post a topic in the buy, sell, swap section, there is always someone who will buy it.

Watch your prices cause they are selling ferns on an auction site for a couple of quid for 5 plants. Plants alive are only 2-3 pound for 5 also.
