ok i went with my friend and his dad to the largest fw store by us and they had some java fern but it was in clumps in gravel is that the way its supposed to be if so how big does it grow and doesnt it attach itself to driftwood and rocks. Also this guy there said that if you put the plant in a airtight bag with no water they can survive up to a couple of days like that is this true?

yes that is true java ferns are one of the most undamanding plants, they get about up to 8'' tall and

can grow hunders of runners an widen out. you can tie down java ferns to rocks and driftwood.

and they shouold be ablt to grow on them. most java ferns are tied in clump when you purchese them

and the gravel is to weight them down
