Japanese Fighter

my cousin bought a fighter but found that he was attacking his other fish so asked me if i wanted it i took it i also have mixed tropical put it in with my fish and it seems to be ok the only thing is he doesnt seem to swim around he just stays in one corner near the bottom in my tank is it just becouse he is new to the tank or is this where it is going to make his home he aiso doesnt eat i wandered if they eat different from the rest i feed them sera flake food he has been in the tank for three days so i think it is becouse he is new to the tank can anyone help me in some tips on how to bring him out of the corner and if i am feeding him the right food

Do you mean you have a betta, aka Siamese fighting fish? :unsure:

If so, it could any one of a number of things wrong. It could be that he's not in the best of health, or the current from the filter is too strong for him, or that other fish are bothering him.

I'll move your thread to the betta forum where you will get answers from the members who know them best. :D
 
Turn down the filter and give it time. The betta can eat flakes, but try some frozen blood worms, they usually love them. Vary the foods if you can. Keep us updated.
