i sold all my small malawis and have got an eyebiter,2 x livingstoni,1 x blue ahli, and a few more haps etc.i've made a big mistake.my 2 x livingstoni just want to eat all day long.if i put in 2/3 cubes of bloodworm in the tank, bang,in 2 seconds, gone.nothing else gets a look in.what should i do?????i wish i had kept my smaller fish.all my present fish are from a fishshop that would give me peanuts back for them.what should i do????anyone in the southwest of england who fancys buying approx 10 larger africans????or swapping them for some demasoni etc etc.none of my fish are fully grown.they are all still juvies.

the problem is the livingstoni eat everyones portion of food,so i have to put more in.i am not an inexperienced fish keeper,i've made a mistake buying the fish i currently have.should have kept my smaller fish!!!!

Gee, and if their this aggressive with food imagine what they are with other fish....I recall a post saying similiar things about your fish before.

another thing, why feed cubed blood worms??
try getting a nice big can of pellets, then each morning put some tank water in a small bowl, put about a table spoon or more of pellets in the water, go about your morning duties, blow dry your hair, what ever then go feed the pellets, this gives them a chance to moisten up, avoiding bloat and also gives MORE food items for other fish to have a chance at.
 do away with the blood worms!!!

Don't feed your africans bloodworms.... Just kidding....seriously bloodworms will cause bloat to african cichlids....Get some New life spectrum pellets and when you feed just spread the pellets around..if you have a strong current then all this food will be circulated throughout the whole tank and everyone could eat.....

Yup, and it's our job to make sure they don't get too much because they'll eat more then what's good for them, especially concerning pellets, which are very dense and heavy. These haps aren't prone to bloat like so many mbuna are, but it's safer to go with crustation type foods like krill, mysis, etc.
