I've Just Done Something Really Stupid

any advice peeps?

my 2 yr old just scribbled all over a leather sofa in biro. the only way to get this off i found was to use an alcohol based hairspray. so in a panic i run off for my hairspray, cover the sofa in it and then realise theres three fish tanks in this room, 2 open topped.
have opened all windows and doors but am 100% its gonna be in the tanks


what do i do? hairspray is still hovering in the room, it makes no sense i believe to do water changes until it settles???

Whats the water volume in the tanks?

If they are big, then the concentration of hairspray in the water will be very low. So dont panic.

one is 500L (covered)
the others are 35L and 25L open topped

might be worth nipping out and getting a surface skimmer to attach to the filter (external) or use a piece of filter floss in a net and skim the surface

For future refernce, nail polish remover works really well, just dab some on a paper towel

Tanks that small should be a doddle to do a few water changes in

they are totally planted with one being a walstad, not ideal for willy-nilly water changes
