I've got dark blue gravel, and I want a planted tank with at least one Bog Wood. And the background will be black. Anyhow, will it look good, or should I change to something else?

It came with the tank that I bought yesterday. I washed it out yesterday.

It's kinda hard to tell...depends on how dark the gravel is and the lighting in your tank (mine looked a lot different after switching to a Aqua-Glow for example).

The black background may make the gravel look darker, or it may make it stand out more due to contrast. Really it's up to your personal preference.

I have the opposite combo - blue background and black gravel and its striking and looks fantastic. I say go for it.

Alright thank you.

It's actually lighter blue. I've got a picture:

I think it will be stunning. There's something about the blue/black combo that gives a real deep sea reef look.

I tend to like a more natural look with plain mixed sized gravel or sand. I did blue once and regreted it ever since, it just felt like a tank you would see in a/an elementary school. But if you like it, thats all that matters :good:
