do you think they will breed with my redwag platty.
just wondering but i think they will
and the colour should come out great on the fry if they do
i know they will not be natural but the colour will light up the tank dont you
think
thanks

there really isnt any 'natural' colour for platies , almost all are colour morphs - as for the fry you may just end up with redwags and rainbows , or you could end up with some interesting variations. rainbows are my favourite though - my female really shines out

ed - sorry , i forgot - they will breed

Yes, they will and it will. It's always fun to see how colours come out differently in different fry.
Congrats!

i am so happy but my male has just went on a mad one and realy
tryed to hurt the female for some reason he has never done this
before though.
any solutions.
also how long will it be befour they breed.
i realy need to know.
thanks :)

he should breed as soon as he sees the female - than he shall spend the rest of his life chasing her wildly - tough love style

How many males and females do you have? You should have 2-3 females, otherwise the male will stress out the female with this behavior.

i have 1 male an 2 females.
i he hasnt made his move yet and iv had him since about 4 oclock
what temp should i have it at
it is currently set to 23-24c
thanks
also is this normal by the male trying to hurt her because
it ceartainly looked it at the time but he has only done this one
by the way my endlers are doing fine but i cant seem to find females anywere lol

Ya know whats kind of funny, is I have one female rainbow platy, and NOONE likes her, she is chased around aggressivly all the time, the only one that gives her the time of day is the male guppy who tries to mate with her, other than that, my female and male platies all dislike her.

mabee it is just rainbow plattys in general that fish dont like
however i have noticed the male has started trying to get close to her thanks
and i cant wait

really? mine too. i have her in with some calicos and a plain orange one , as well as my calico male - and he never looks twice at her - poor thing. she really is the prettiest of the platys i have as well  . they dont chase her around though .

Yeah, its sad cuz I did have another rainbow platy with her at first, but the next day I couldnt find him in there anywhere, and all the sudden I spotted him.... on the ground behind the aquarium, he jumped out from a small hole in the top... it was pretty sad, thats the only one that hung around her.
