Its Official...my Oscar Is Getting Owned By My Severum Of All Fish

Now I know why some of you people say that oscars are whimps..my severum who is smaller than him is really beating him up and I think biting my oscar's scales off. It seems as if my oscar is just letting him do it!

I don't know what to do, I am willing to wait a bit longer and see what happens but if the oscar doesn't start defending himself or at least if the severum does not back off one of them is going to have to go.

I really like both of them so it would be a hard decision.


I could keep the oscar and add something like a firemouth or plec.

Or I could get rid of the oscar which I don't really want to do and get a Jack Dempsey or Red Devil or somthing to go with the sev, con, and bichir.

At least I know the jd and rd would defend themselves right?

Ouch! I would swap fish, either the oscar or the sevvie. Not sure which, as I've never had either of them.

I would get rid of the Severum. It's not good to have bullies in the tank.

Oscars are cooler anyways. Especially yours with it's fantastic colours

But you know what will happen though? If the Oscar is left with the Severum and the Oscar survives, he'll grow up and then turn the tables on the Severum. I've seen it happen.

I just moved my tiger barbs and dwarf gourami in my 20 to my brother's 20(which only has 5 sebra danios), and moved my sev to the 20. I will be taking the sev back to the fish store later in the week probably. I really like the oscar so I want to keep him Hopefully he'll heal up quick.
