Its Just Fish Everywhere!

With the point on too many bottom feeders, it doesn't really cause a problem due to the choice of bottom feeder, mainly Corys a Small Catfish which is not a particularly big waste producer If I'd say so myself, them being totally non-aggressive and actually enjoying more company, I would of suggested a larger group of each because of the amount of space you have. That's just my 2 cents.

Oh Yeah, I suggest waiting a week and a half to 2 weeks after adding the first shoal of corys, before you add the next shoal. This should be adequate for the Bacteria population to have handled the introduction of the corys.
 
With the gold nuggets, it's not the size that's the problem, it's the waste they produce. They poop like crazy and you will have a very hard time keeping your tank clean with 2 of them in there... especially when they grow!
