At the moment I have 4 female gups all dropping babies, it started a few days ago, its still happening . My black female dropped 5 days ago...and then again yesterday. I wasnt aware this could happen until yesterday. Its FRY Madnesssssssssssssssss!!! I love it! I had heaps of fry before this, probably about 40-50 of platty and guppy fry mixed some where already mine and others were caught from my local fish shop in the guppy and platty tanks. Basically I save them from being food and raise them to adult and then sell them back. But finally my breeding stock are healthy and fry are a booming! YAY!!! All my current adult fish have been treated for pretty much everything as I had many different sick gups and the remaining ones are the ones that survived disease and treatment over the past few months. I also think one of my teenage fry who survived in the main tank just dropped fry of her own. Its so exciting. Cant wait to see color development....thats so much more exciting!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Basically my plan has been to breed healthy gups for my lfs, as almost all gups i purchased from 3 different fish shops died with either columnaris fungas, worms etc. This has been over the past 5-6 months and its been a joke and alot of money, time and liking of my gups when this happened I needed a solution and the answer was to breed my own stock..Makes me happy cause it all seems to finally be happening. TOUCH WOOD!!!!!!!
