So what did you order halibut, salmon or trout ?

I went with the gas station sushi. Because what could go wrong with gas station sushi?
I've got 4 Laetacara curviceps coming. Hopefully 2 pairs.
i'm curious where you order them - be aware that a lot of sellers mix or confuse curviceps with dorsigera though you might not care which they are be sure to check carefully if you do ;)

I purchased these from Aqua Bid, from First Coast Tropical Fish. If they are dorsigera that's fine, I got an even better deal then. Honestly I've been searching for months for any of the smaller Laetacaras for awhile. So if it's curviceps or dorsigera or araguaiae it's ok.

If you want more a few places have wild caught dorsigera available (as far as i can tell red form).

Seriously Fish says dorsigera can thrive in water hardness of 30-268 ppm. Do you think that is possible?

Seriously fish says about the same thing for L. curviceps, 18-268 ppm.
Mt hardness is around 100 ppm

Love fish day.

I have six L. curviceps juves growing out now and like them a lot. Got mine from Aquatic Arts who deal in fish bred by themselves and their affiliated mostly local breeders.

I just checked aquabid. Of the two listings for 'curviceps' the one from FL has a photo of L. dorsigera and the one from CT has a photo of L. curviceps. Now, that depends on whether the photos are the actual fish in question.

I bought mine from the Florida vendor. The picture may not represent the actual fish. The pictured fish look bigger/older than what I just received. Pics of fish to follow once acclimated.

I guess I'll be counting dorsal fin rays today..
