Hi GUys

Well its only been 18 days but my first ever tank has now fully cycled.

I have a short list of fish i am thinking about and would appreciate any imput regarding compatibility etc. I have a 240 lt tank by the way.

Guppy, dwarf gourami, cherry barbs, pearl danio, bristlenose, clown loach, harlequins, glass catfish, peppered oto, golden barb, cardinal tetra, bleeding heart tetra.

Now i know i won't be able to keep all of these but i was wondering is someone could give me a pointer on ideal numbers for each specie, ie i know that clown loaches prefer the company of their own kind so i would probably get two.

Cheers

How big is the tank? some of the fish you listed need a rather large living space and wont be suitable for your tank if you can't supply them that. Also if you have a very large tank it is usually advised you raise the shoaling fish's numbers up a bit as a minimum as they will feel less secure in a large tank.
Glass catfish need to be in groups of 5 and guppys depends on what genders you go for in your mix.

I would go with 6 female guppies and 2 male guppies, a school of 6-10 cherry barbs, a bristlenose plec, a school of 6-10 cardinals and a school of 6-10 bleeding hearts.

The glass catfish don't really like really active fish like tetras and guppies. They are more of a relaxed fish. and the clown loaches need to be in groups of atleast 3, they'd get too big for your tank.
