Hey all,
First post on these boards, though I've lurked a lot. I've come to the point where I could use some help with diagnosis. I have 2 Dwarf Gourami that are concerning me.
First, tank stats -
20 gallon tank:
PH: 7.6
ammonia: >.25ppm
NO2: 0ppm
N03: 20ppm
Temp: 80F
The tank has been running for around 3 months. It is fairly well planted (possibly too well planted for the light we have without CO2)

in this tank we have:
1 clown Pleco
1 Red Dwarf Gourami
1 Blue Dwarf Gourami
2 Bolivian Rams
1 Black Veiltail Angelfish
3 Ghost Shrimp (added yesterday)

We also have a 5 gal quarantine tank with a Neon Blue Dwarf Gourami.

We have him quarantined because I noticed that he developed what looked like a bump on his side

We are currently treating him with salt and Jungle "Fungus Clear Tank Buddies." However, now that a second of our Gouramis has developed 3 of the things, and I'm starting to get worried.

I pulled the red out to take some photos.

after I put him back in the tank I noticed that one of the bumps appears to have ruptured. Nothing came out as far as I could tell, and the red spot has gone, but the area now appears to be irritated.

Both fish are eating, pooping, and swimming as they usually do.
There's so much information out there that it's driving me insane (we've already lost 1 red to cotton mouth due to putting him in when the tank was still young, though cycled)

I'd appreciate any advice or help that anyone can give!

Hi there and welcome :)

I can't help with the gourami problem, but your ammonia needs to come down as it will harm your fish otherwise.

The ammonia is typically at 0ppm, it just seems to be slightly elevated at the moment (my test kit has either 0 or .25, and it was closer to zero, but just slightly tinted)
We are doing weekly 20% water changes, and we usually do them friday, so it's about that time, I'm fairly sure that's why the ammonia is slightly higher than normal, but we do test it daily, and I'm hopeful it'll be back down tomorrow morning.

All you can do is try a bacterial med in issolation.
But now a lumps burst best thing to do is medicate the whole tank. As burst lumps can infect the tank water.
