I'm trying to get my 33 gallon tank ready and so I have been cleaning it and scaping.
I turned it around today and it is a Juwel tank, I have topped it fully with water and I have noticed it leaks from right up corner...
I have put it some blue tack in these wooden/plastic rims and it looks like it stopped leaking, for now....
How do I stop it leaking?

Pictures?

I would lower the water level below that point for now - depending on how severe it is, you may be able to re-silicone it.

Have you filled it higher than the maximum level mark inside the tank? If the water level gets to the trim on the inside the water will creep under the trim and down the outside.

Oh, I did not know that... And what is the mark for water level?

It's a few years since I had my Juwel Rio 125 but mine had a mark on the inside of the tank showing the maximum water level - a line on one of the side walls if I remember correctly.
The trim goes down further on the outside than it does on the inside. The water level should be above the bottom of the outside trim but a good couple of cm lower than the trim on the inside. The bracer bar (the thing that goes from front to back in the middle of the tank) should be well above the water.

Ah.. My tank has no line like that :(
Is 1cm down okay?

I'd have the water at least 2.5 cm lower.

Terrible drawing of what I mean:

The water surface shouldn't be visible from the outside, but it must be low enough that it can't reach the trim on the inside.

This happened to me with my first tank, a 60 litre years ago. I found a puddle outside the tank and finally realised it was too full and the water was touching the bottom of the trim on the inside and seeping up the trim, over the glass then down the outside of the tank.

Of course if the water is well below the inside edge of the trim, it could be a leak. Just check the water level first.

Must be the trim, when the water was low it wasn't leaking at all.
Thank you once again Essjay :)
