It Was Time For A Change New Rock Layout Bae's 100G Tank

well after slowly losing corals over the past few months for various reasons Ive changed my rock

so i now have this its also lost a lot of Coraline algae and not finished yet and need some corals and money lol

Hi mate, sorry to here about your losses, what was the cause?

My only concern with the rock would be the lack of flow getting into the rock.

hi mate it was a number of things starting with my lights on the frits then heat isues and then the fish pecking as they were abit weak so the stats were fine no disease but they died so unsure really


also the one on the left has a tunze stream 6101 (20,000) sort of built into it but still accessible so gets tunze then the one on the right has a seio m2600 (10,000 lph) built in sort of again

and at the back of the tank circulating around the tank theres another seio m2600

at the back center theres a koralia nano 1,500 lph

and a external filter with 1300 lph

so thats 42,800 lph and its not to powerful for the fish as the rocks split the flow

Like the way it looks, I might be tempted to move it slightly further in, so it is not against the glass, are you pleased with it?

yeah i thought about that but i do like it plus it hides a lot of equipment like this

I like that scape, leaves a good viewing area for the fish and when its full of coral on each side it will replicate a natural reef

looking forward to it being added to mate

thanks unfortunately while doing the tank the fish went in a holding tank and there was a bit of lr in there and my sail fin i believe swam int some as he has a scrap on him and damaged his eyes his eyes have now gone and theres black in there place i feel horrible and couldn't ever euthanasia him i feel horrible

I have a one eye chromas and Donya has a one eye fish as well, they do fine so don't beat yourself up

As he cant see you could you trap him in a jar or the like and then flood it with food

well he ate last night as i jently sprayed some food out of a turkey baster and was finer this morning and now tonight he was dead


and to top it off my boxer shrimp swam into a power head and gut sucked to the side and is dead
