It is time for a fresh water aquarist to go Marine!

I was about to make my 21g into a nano marine reef..

When my brother “fish torturerâ€￾ called and said he has had enough of his 55g, 4 foot tank. I get it for free.

Cost is an issue for me, but I will be tripling my salary in 2 months…I thought I would start setting up my 55g as marine reef by PATIENTLY adding live rock for a while. Does this make sense? How slow, is the best way to add live rock to a 55g?

I have read 200+hrs about marine reefs but that was a few years ago. I am getting refreshed as we speak…

I have a suggestion...

Transfer the fish from your 90 gallon into the 55, and have the 90 be marine.

I can personally guarantee you that you will not regret it.

As for your live rock, why not have mostly base rock instead? Alot cheaper and almost as good.
