Two of my bronze corys have become very lethargic.I've never experienced white spot before so am not sure. Some of the white on them appears wispy. They were introduced to my tank at the weekend from a shop that quarantines for 2 weeks before sale. All my other fish appear fine.Help please.Pics below;(Click on pics for bigger image)

no it isn't whitespot. It is excess mucous produced by the fish because they are stressed out from something. Check the water quality for ammonia, nitrite, nitrate & PH. Do some water changes and gravel cleans and see how it goes over the next few days.

edited to add the fish look a bit sunken belly. Are they eating well? If so they might have intestinal worms that are causing them to suffer from malnutrition and that would add to their problems.

White spot of Ich looks like little specks of salt or pimples. That does not look like any ich I have seen. It looks long not like a spot. It looks like some kind of parasite to me.
Is the fish doing anything funny any symptoms? Like rubbing/flashing, not swimming or eating, breathing heavy, red-spots or sores .....

I don't know what it is exactly but it kind of looks like anchor worm. But not really and Anchor worms are not that common in aquariums and are seen mostly in pounds.

Do the spots look fuzzy or hair like? Maybe like a fungus?

I would do some internet searches on different parasites fish can get.

Good luck.

Great photos by the way.

Usually anchor worm will look hair like with a forked tail.

Tested my stats last night and it looks like i've had another pH crash. Its been going on a while(click link)
That would explain the stress.I'm still working on it.
thanks

What your tap ph reading.
What substrate do you have in the tank.
Any bogwood in the tank.
What ornaments and rocks do you have in the tank.

Ph is a killer if it drops or goes up to fast.

Full info is on the link in my previous post above.I've had the tank completely stripped and still not found an answer.

Did the lfs use strip cards or liquid test kits to test your water.
Need tap reading in ph when your test kits arrives.

Read it must of missed the tap ph.

As it says,i've stripped the tank completely, had the pH stablised to 7 for 2 weeks......and then it just suddenly dropped again.Haven't a clue why?think i've exhausted all hope of finding the cause(after 4 weeks and a lot of work trying),and will now try to find something to buffer the pH.Rabbut reckons crushed coral may do the trick.
