I definaltey agree Zawiha ( what a cool username!), they do not incubate their eggs in thier mouth. Mine havent, and as far as im aware, no has any other Jewel Cichlid. THey prefer to lay there eggs in a cave structure, and after hatching, move them into a safe hiding place, such as a pit, and then they become free-swimming in which the parents make sure they dont get eaten by predators. I tihnk you may have misread, if the paretns want to move the babies, instead of using thier hands ( they dont have any) they pick them up in there mouth and then spit them out where they want them.
