So after my friend gave me her guppy fry and I finally successfully raised my own, I don't need anymore guppies. I turned my 7.5 galloon into a Betts tank, as Prince, my boy, was getting beaten up by the guppies. The tank is cycling. It has dark gravel, I put in some amazon swords and some licorice ferns. Yes I know they are not aquatic, but they have been in my house for a while and I had nothing to do with them. I do not actually expect them to last very long.

OK! Now to the actual question! I am positive my guppies will have more babies. MANY more. I was wondering if it would be wrong to feed some of the fry to my bettas.

Ps. The spell check on my kindle is killing me! Every time I want to say guppy it changes it to puppy! It doesn't like me to spell betta either.

I don't think that's wrong at all it's what would happen in the wild I'd just be carful to make sure nothing is wrong with the guppies before feeding them so your betta doesn't get anything bad.

Feeding your fish live fry is actually what happens in the wild. It is like hunting to your betta and I believe live food is much better for fish than flake, as long as there is no parasites. But then there is the emotional side of it. Do you mind feeding fry to your betta?

Besides your betta won't eat itself to death and would retreat in a silent spot if it is full already.
