Almost a month ago i bought a new fish tank and i transferred all of my fish into this new tank.
I started running my new filter, also i put my old filter media in some tights and put it into the tank near the new filter and have had it in their since.
My water stats are
Ammonia 0
Nitrite 0
P.H 7.0
I was wondering whether i can take the tights out with the old filter media in now as i'm thinking the new filter should have enough beneficial bacteria and the old media shouldn't be needed now.
It looks abit stupid in the tank having some old media in a pair of tights so i'm hoping to take it out this weekend.
After almost a month my tank should be cycled now shouldn't it?
My stats have been stable for quite some time so i'm just wondering is it safe to remove the old filter media now??
