Is This Tank 4Ft Or 6Ft ?

Right ill jump right two the point
I have 2 catfish a common cat fish and a albino catfish
i wanted two get a talking cat fish but they only sell big ones so i thought id ask be for i got one

i have a 4ft tank ive showed my family and friends the tank and they have said its boaded ( if that's the way you spell it ) i wanted two get him today so need help pretty fast
friends and family have said my tank is 6ft not 4ft even tho it measures 4ft it has a 6ft wide glass on the front but its boaded

Thats a 4ft tank, i have a rena but not bow fronted and they are one of the best aquarium builders out there.

Just to let you know, you spell bowed like that and the correct term is bow fronted... There you go.
Common plecs get about 2ft long and need at least a 4'x2'x18"(LxWxH) so if your talking about keeping 3 common plecs then you'd need a bigger tank. and I would say that the glass used for the front would probably be about 5-6ft long if you straightened it but I still class it as 4ft.

i have to say its the best tank ive ever had except for the filter. which broke the day i had it ( quick disconnect went )

could 3 cat fish and a few guppies fit in the tank ?
1 albino catfish 1 common ( big ) plec and a talking catfish

And Ive never heard of this "bow fronted" be for so did not know how to spell it

Ask the talking catfish for an opinion
If it was me i would go something a bit bigger but someone like Kitty Kat would be able to provide you with a more knowledgeable responce.

Talking catfish can grow to be about 6" long so not too big but they might start eating your guppies...

That's what the shop said were i was gonna buy them from.
This one young girl said they would eat guppies neon's etc
then i asked the man there and he said they don't.
i have guppies and guppies fry ( guppies breading every week )
one albino shark and 1 silver shark and 1 clown loach
i was thinking about getting 2 more silver sharks and 1 talking cat fish
i guess albino plec and common plec can't bread ? because i would love two bread plec

I think you're on the edge of overstocking, especially if your guppies are breeding every week.

The sharks and loach get too big for the tank so they all need to be removed. You ideally want to remove all the plecos too and replace with some Bristlenose Plecos. Talking Catfish are ok in your tank, but that would mean getting rid of your guppies. So basically you need to restock your tank with much smaller species from now on, and more importantly, research before you buy!

Its suggested to keep clown loach in groups of 6 minimum. They grow quite big and some have been know to last over 20 years. They size they grow is quite amazing. I didn't believe how big they grew when someone told me, until I seen one for sale in a shop that was full size.

sorry for the late post the min i started posting on here the min my mrs going into labor
i have about 15 guppies
but ent gonna have any more because i take the fry out of the tank into another tank but now my female keeps getting pregnant but i leave the fry in there.

so i need a bigger tank ? i have this 4ft tank up stairs mind . i was thinking about getting a 6ft tank but i think id have broken ceilings then

If you're going to put a big tank like that upstairs make sure you put a large flat board underneath the stand that way you spread the weight across more ceiling joists
