I'm worried about my new Betta. First off she's hardly eaten, she doesn't come to the top at feeding time with the others. I saw her eat one bit of flake yesterday and that was it.

Secondly I've hardly seen her today. Yesterday she was swimming around everywhere but today she's calimed the two hiding places in the tank and spent her time there. She's mainly hidden in a log I have at the bottom. And when one of the platy go in after about 2 seconds they make a swift backwards exit out the way they came and then you see her little head pop out because she warned them off lol.

So is it normal for her to hide away so much? She doesn't look ill or anything. Also when I feed them how can I make sure she gets hers if she doesn't come up to get it?

Every time I got a new female she hid, still does a bit and I have had her for about a month

I normally wait until I see her out and about the tank and then feed my fish

she's out and about now and had something to eat. She's more active in the evenings it seems.
