Hi. I have just added 2 parrot fish (1 x 2" and 1 x 3") to my tank which has 6 x 1" Silver dollars. The smaller parrot fish is fine but the large one is acting weird. Its will come out from behind the drift wood follow the smaller one and nudge it a couple of times then go back. Also it will takes a mouth full of gravel and spit it out somewhere else. is this normal?

The silver dollars are absolutely fantastic. They are wicked to look at and are so friendly.

many thanks Alan

It could quite possibly be the early stage of bullying, or pairing. How big are they? Are they dyed?( as in, are they different colors?)

Do you have a pic? They could quite possibly be dyed. This is very harmful, and may kill the fish. At that size, i would say it is agression. But, if they WERE to pair off, the eggs wont hatch.

Go to photobucket.com and then upload the pics on there. Then copy and paste the IMG code, and when you post on here, the picture will come up.

hope this is ok

From what I see, they dont appear to be dyed. I would just wait and see if the bullying escalates.
