ok ive had my 2 keyholes for a while, today ive noticed that the smallest 1 has dug holes and there not far away from each other. but not only dug a hole in 1 place but infact 2 places but the hole there always at are back of the tank.

if i do see eggs should i take the plecos out?

My HRP's always protected their eggs from my L001 which was twice as big as them very well indeed. The pits are usually signs of breeding or at least one of them trying to attract the others attention. Have a scout about with a torch and see if you can find any eggs. Has their colouration altered any? If so then it is a sure sign they're getting ready. Pits are usually dug for the eggs to be transfered to when they become wrigglers etc.
