After I had some problems with driftwood stump http://www.fishforums.net/index.php?showtopic=258808&hl=
my fishless cycle has ended because bacteria died probably due to adding tetra's algae remover...

I did 80% water change, removed stump and started cycle again from scratch. I added some java moss to slate stone about a week ago.

Now my ammonia started to go down, nitrites showing up and again I see some white stuff on java moss. Is this fungus? Is it normal or bad?

the algae remover has probably killed it which has made it turn white, it will eventually go, or if you have any algae eaters they will take care of it.

Actually I added java moss after I used algae remover and changed water. This stuff grew on java moss in the last 3-4 days, so I guess it's alive and growing...
How bad is this stuff?

Looks like the hair algae I have in my tank.
Isn't hair algae kind of green? My stuff is white... So, if this is algae, should I worry about it or as aaronnorth mentioned that algae eaters will take care of it after I finish my fishless cycle?

I'd say white stuff is generally going to be either fungus or bacteria (impossible to tell from each other without a microscope, as both can grow in "threads"), or dead algae, but if this just appeared it can't really be dead yet. Whatever it is, it's quite common in cycling tanks but seems to be outcompeted by other organisms and die off as the tank becomes established. I wouldn't worry about it.

Mr Bliss, thank you very much for calming me down! I really thought that I will have to cancel my second cycling attempt because of this...

Hi,

Do you run DIY CO2 in your tank? IF so it would be just white growth that is arre associated with the yeast through the diffuser. Using a gas separator or bubble counter would help prevent this. I have the same problem with my new tank, thinking it was hair algae, but it's white. I OD Excel everyday and hassled the strands but they come back everyday, especially around the CO2 diffuser. USed a separator yesterday and cleaned the tank of all the white growth. Came back today and there's no more.
