Should be fine for most fish that are surface (and probably mid-level) feeders as part of a varied diet.

That's what I feed my flake-feeders, as the requirements of tetras are very similar to those of bettas.
And they seem to do very well and grow very large.
But they usually only get flakes maybe a few times a week as different foods are fed.
And of course I have very standard types (bettas, tetras, guppies, Harlequin rasbora, White Clouds) of flake-feeders, apart from the self-collected Central Mud Minnow, who now refuses to eat anything but bloodworms...
