Hey just moved fish over to new tank and whilst doing so noticed that one of my clown plecs which i have not been able to get a good look at for sum time now has what looks like fin rot on its gills. he edges are like crusty white and receeding yet no other fish in the original tank has symptoms and it is just on this one fishes gills. Any ideas on what it could be?

You have to describe it a little better.

What kind of white? what does it look like? Is the fish acting differently? What color is the fish's poop?

Also you should really fill out the form pinned in this forum for water quality, if you dont, its hard for people to give accurate advice. Posting a pic of the fish wouldnt hurt either...

Size of tank in gallons or litres.
How many fish and which type.
Water stats in ammonia, nitrite, nitrate, and ph.

You mean gills look like they have white crusty pieces on the gills.
Is it possible to load a pic up.

Or does it sound like this.
Swelling and a red and white mottling of the gills gives them a raw hamburger appearance.
