they spin and everything does that mean there in good health

It's normal. Some fish are very playful, and just looooove the currents.

However, make sure they aren't being thrown around by it. They can swim off just fine, and they choose to go in there?

But can they swim normally in the part of the tank where the filter doesn't reach?

I just want to make sure they aren't weak or sick, and the filter is catching them and throwing them around.

no there ok in other parts my flying fox does it too

I thought you didn't have a flying fox in a 12gal, i think you just love winding people up.
